THE YOGA POSTURE PROGRAMMES

These exercises featured in the Yoga Posture Lessons apply delicate pressure, persuading and stretching muscles and joints, stimulating glands and circulation, toning and strengthening the body, encouraging deep and relaxing breathing.  Your muscles will become firmer and your joints looser, your posture and shape will improve, you will look and feel better.

The focus of these lessons will be to work with stillness and awareness, and with less concern for the athletic and energetic side of Yoga.  The emphasis is on phycical comfort and safety, working within your own abilities rather than forcing yourself into over-demanding postures, there must be no over-exertion.  Using this softer and more gentler approach can be very effective.  You must practise these Yoga lessons very slowly, mindfully, and with a quiet awareness.  Practise with patience and perseverance, rather than expecting spectacular results immediately.

Be kind to yourself, take one step at a time.

For we need to remember that the true aim of Yoga is the union of your physical, mental and spiritual selves, this makes Yoga far more than just a form of exercise.  These classes will encourage you to focus your mind, and become more aware of the internal flow of relaxation and energy throughout your body. But most importantly they will teach you how to relax your mind and body from all the stresses and strains of your everyday life.

THE RELAXATION PROGRAMMES

The Relaxation Programmes may include various breathing exercises and techniques, gentle tension release exercies, self-massage techniques, concentration exercises and meditations, PowerNaps to revitalise and refresh, as well as a great variety of classical relaxation techniques.

These relaxation sessions will help to spread a sense of calmness and relaxation into your daily life. You will improve your physical and mental well-being, and will take steps towards attaining that tranquil mind that we all desire.

Remember that Yoga Relaxation helps you to find inner peace, which in turn, like a mirror, reflects.
